Blogging Tips - ScribeFire: Fire up your blogging
An interesting page describing ScribeFire. I have started using it for my blogging. I liked the bit about adding links to your blogs. It is amazing to me how many people blog and don’t do this simple step. It adds a lot of dimension to your writing as well as giving credit for ideas that were not your original ideas. Plagiary on the world wide web is rampant and it is not hard to see why. The web is so accessible and so vast in scope that finding where someone has copied something is virtually impossible.
Now while I’m going to try to keep this blog focused on my ministry efforts, and Jesus Christ, I will from time to time blog on other subjects of interest to me such as trucks and computers. I find the Linux community fascinating as well. The whole concept of open source is awesome! I’ll write more on this on a later post!
God bless!

Well, as most of you know, I don’t have a girl, but some of you do I’m sure. Here is an interesting link my wife asked if I’d pass it along, http://www.todayschristiangirl.com/ Has some interesting resources on it. Check it out.
Just thought I’d share some of my experiences with Simple Machines Forum. This is probably the most extensible and adaptable forum software I’ve used. It is a lot easier to configure than phpBB, more flexible than YaBB, and a lot easier on the pocket book than VBulletin! There is a strong user community at www.simplemachines.org who are more than willing to help out newbies to the forum world. If you know a little about CSS then you can really customize the appearance of your forum! The latest stable release as of this writing is version 1.1.5 yet they do have a beta version out for 2.0.

For those of you who already know me, I’m back in town again. I was out to sea for a while. I’m a chief in the US Navy. I’m in the submarine community. Well while I was gone a few things have happened. For one, my computer went down. CPU fried in it, so I cannot access a lot of my previous contacts right at the moment. The hard drive is still good though, so I’ll be fixing that as soon as I get the money.
I also regret that Bible Talk Cafe went down about a week after I left. I recieved an e-mail from my wife that said my hosting company went out of business. The owner up and left his employees high and dry and for a week or two they were unpaid, so it finally closed down with little to no notice to the clients. Talk about poor business practices. The provider was www.trexhost.com. Not sure who the owner was, but I would definitely recommend researching your web hosting company thoroughly so you won’t get burned like we were.
Well, welcome to my place on the web. I have a small friends and family forum on the main site. Register at www.gustason.com and click on the forum link. Hope to see you all there!
God bless,
